Hi All,
With the METRIC off, I set the PAGESIZE to 8.5" (WIDTH) x 5.5" (LENGTH).
I can never get the printer to print every page correctly; all the alignment for
Y axis seems to be reducing in every additional page printed.
Then... incidentally, I set the METRIC on and realized that the 8.5" x 5.5" was
converted to 212.4mm x 137.5mm. But... when I measured the paper with a
ruler... I found something astonishing. In inches, it measured 8.5" x 5.5" (It
is correct). But.... when I measured the paper in mm, it showed 216mm x 140mm.
There is not much of a problem on the width because the X axis was not affected.
But.. the height has a difference of 2.5mm. So... when printing, every
subsequent page, the entire printing is shifted upwards by 2.5mm. After 10
pages, it was shifted up by 2.5cm.
The wonderful part is when I set to METRIC, then entered the width as 216mm and
height as 140mm, all the print out from 1st page till the 10th page printed out
correctly.
Googled for "Inches to mm", it showed 1 millimeter = 0.0393700787 inches.
Googled for "mm to inches", it showed 1 inch = 25.4mm.
If I were to convert 5.5" to mm, it should be 5.5 x 25.4mm = 139.7. The 139.7
is much closer to the 140mm I measured, instead of the current 137.5...
It is a BIG problem because all my customers who converted to the latest 3.12
version reporter have page length problem.
Thanks.

Well, I am trying to get the same thing here using FRB example application. And
all the generated pages are looking correct for me. Am I missing something?
Please, could you please help me to duplicate this problem on my computer?
Is it necessary to print some test report on paper, or that page-by-page shift
can be visible on the preview? What Clarion version and operating system are you
using? What page size (custom or standard)? Can this be reproduced by any of the
reports supplied with FRB example appication? If there is something specific,
could you please create a new report layout (or modify an existing) using FRB
example mentioned and send it to me?
Thank you,
