Support Forum - Interest in dynamic report template

I have made a template of my previous efforts to use Fomin with the Dynamic File
driver. It is now possible for me to either turn a SQL query to a valid file for
processing with a Fomin runtime report, or use a reference to a file (i.e a
dynamic memory table representing previously collected data) as base for a
report.
The latter is particularily useful when a query takes some time to build.

I wonder if it any interest in turning this into a cheap commercial product.
I do not bother with documentation and examples if not :)

Well. The interest up front wasn't that big, but the fun thing is that the
second I added the product for 50 USD on Clarionshop, I got orders. Go to
ClarionShop, look for AdiDynamic. Hope it looks interesting.

Hi Bjarne
This template is also for clarion7.1 ?
you have any additional dll or pure clarion code + template ?

It is pure template code.
I have not done anything with this with regards to Clarion 7x, first of all
because I forgot this template when making c7 installs, second because I
am sick of spending time trying to convert to Clarion 7. Too much work, to less
revenue. I have yet to get any of my programs moved to Clarion 7. I
prefer testing my 3rdParty products where I use them, because simple demos
always work, it is not until I add complexity I get into trouble :)

Unless Oleg has changed things in how his "dictionary string" is supposed to be
built, or SoftVelocity has changed the way DFD and memory driver
works, I can't see it should be a problem using the template in C7. I mean,
there are no big differences between a program compiled with C7 runtime or
C6 runtime.

I will try to install Fomin for Clarion 7.1, prepare a C7 install and test
within a week.

I see that you want to report on a Dynalib table. I have no idea how those
tables work, but unless there is some sort of FILE reference, AdiDynamic
can't help you. You could of course spend time with the template to adapt it to
Dynalib.

dyna lib allow me to create file reference, i hope i can join it
together ;) of course i can use dynamic driver for frb support and
dynalib for the other functionality
